Jennifer McCarthy, RYT
Originally from Southeastern Massachusetts, Jennifer moved to Las Vegas Nevada five years ago for a position in the Registrar’s Office at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Presently, she is the Director of Academic and Research Space at the university. Her educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, and a master’s degree in Policy, Planning, and Administration from Boston University.
Three years ago she embarked on her most satisfying journey by training to teach yoga to ‘real’ people and recently completed her 200-hour certification through Yogafit to become a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). Along with teaching at StudiOhm, she has taught classes through the Division of Educational Outreach at UNLV. Her classes ‘Yoga for Every Body’ and ‘Yoga for Almost Every Body’ cater to individuals from all walks of life who want to try yoga, but are intimidated by the practice. Her goal is to introduce the benefits of yoga to as many people as possible. Currently, she is developing a class called ‘Yoga for Golf’ that will launch this summer and completing certification to become a Life Coach. She is also certified to teach Seniors, Pre-natal, Kids, and Plus Size.
